join us on Sunday 7th April for the biggest river party of the year.
The annual Oxford Cambridge Boat Race has been a fixture on the Thames since 1829, going properly annual in 1964. For many it’s an optimistic first event of the summer, as 250,000 line the banks of the river to cheer on the rowers. It’s always been a close-run thing - Cambridge have won the men's race 83 times and Oxford 80 times, with one dead heat. So it’s all to play for in 2019!
The Black Lion is the perfect vantage point to enjoy this most British of traditions. See you there - chin chin!
